We at Open Wing are very excited to be offering a Recapitulation Retreat again in Rishikesh India.

​Rishikesh on the Ganga river in the foothills of the Himalayas proved very conducive to recapitulation. Our days started early on the banks of the river, with gentle movements and natural silence, appreciating the serenity of being in the wild.

Apart from building intent and focus through Energy Movements and practising Recapitulation we made use of the time to be in nature. We visited a beautiful waterfall and the sacred cave of Vaishist, a true power place where all can experience a deep meditative state. We also joined the Fire Ceremony and chanting on the banks of the river.

Recapitulation is a process of examining where we have invested our life energy and retrieving it through the use of specific breathing practices.
It is an ancient Toltec technique, which has been termed soul-retrieval. We will be using specific energy movements to enable our observation and recall, known as Being Energy. Also this year we will be adding some Yin yoga in the morning to facilitate the release of our deeper holding in the tendons and ligaments .

Some of the attendees asked if we could travel together after the retreat. Gammadian has lived in India for a third of his life and was pleased to lead us on a tour through the Himalayas, to power places, caves and temples. 

We were pleased to extend our yoga qualifications and to teach in Rishikesh. We will bring this flavour of yoga (Yin Yoga) and breath work to the morning sessions.
